Grace Lutheran Sunday School
Sunday School is every Sunday morning at 9:15am! All children welcome!!!
Sunday School is a wonderful way for us at Grace Lutheran to assist parents with their children’s spiritual formation. Sunday School lays the foundation for children to become familiar with Bible stories and Biblical characters such as Adam and Eve; Noah and the Ark; Jonah and the Big Fish; Elijah; Elisha; David and Goliath; Mary and Joseph; Jesus and his disciples; Mary, Martha, and Lazarus; Paul and his ministry to proclaim the Gospel. All these stories and people help prepare children for their education later in Confirmation.
The morning begins at 9:15 a.m. in the Sanctuary with a rough schedule as follows:
- 9:15 a.m. Opening with Prayer and Bible Lesson
- 9:30 a.m. Music
- 9:45 a.m. Dismissed to classrooms for Bible Lesson and Craft
We at Grace Lutheran encourage parents to take advantage of these offerings and bring their children on a regular basis. The underlying theme for these years encourages children to fall in love with the God that loves them – that is the foundation of our faith. Once that relationship is experienced the children continue to grow in faith through prayer, reading and understanding the Bible and studying the Liturgy (particularly the sacraments of Baptism and Communion).
Our goal at Grace is to work as partners with parents in raising their children to love God and to love their neighbors. We hope to see you on Sunday mornings!
